Slow Cooked Asian Style Pulled Pork …
 
Ingredients …
  • 2 x pork fillets
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons Shao Shing Chinese cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ tablespoons fresh, grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice powder
Method …
  1. Combine soy sauce, honey, Chinese cooking wine, tomato sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and Chinese 5 spice powder in the slow cooker bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Cut each pork fillet into two or three pieces and place all pieces into the slow cooker. Coat each piece of meat with the marinade, put on the lid and cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Remove pork from slow cooker and shred the meat using two forks. Once shredded, spoon some of the marinade over the meat to prevent it from being too dry. Serve on wraps, sliders, tacos, enchiladas or with mashed potatoes and vegetables. This meat is also suitable to freeze.
