Ingredients …
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 ½ tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2.5 cups self-raising flour
Method …
  1. Preheat oven to 180C and line 3 biscuit trays with baking paper.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar and golden syrup until light and fluffy.
  3. Remove bowl from mixer, add self-raising flour and mix with a large spoon until combined.
  4. Roll heaped tablespoons of mixture into small balls, place on the prepared baking trays and flatten each ball slightly with a fork.
  5. Bake in the oven for approximately 13 – 14 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool on the baking trays for approximately 5 minutes. Transfer biscuits to a wire rack and allow to cool completely
  7. This recipe will make approximately 30 – 32 biscuits.
