For most people, life is very busy and it seems that, no matter how many hours there are in every day, there’s never enough time to get everything done. But one thing I do every day to help keep me on track is to start with a “To Do” List.   Having a list helps me remember everything I’d like to accomplish and gives me the opportunity to prioritise, plan and organise my day. Tips for Choosing a Diary or Planner you’ll be Happy With …

Around about this time every year I start looking for a new diary for myself for next year. I like a good, old-fashioned diary that I can carry in my handbag to help me be organised and remind me of all the things I need to remember. I personally prefer this to using my phone as I find it easier being able to open it up and see everything laid out … and also because technology and I don’t always get along!   Before I head to the shops, the first thing I do is take a few minutes to consider the diary I’ve been using and think about what I like and don’t … read more

You’ve Got Mail … Creating a Place to Store & Organise your Mail …

It doesn’t seem to matter what organisation I call these days, I inevitably end up being put on hold … and sometimes for what seems like forever! I’ve spent so long in some phone queues that I’ve seriously wondered if I’ll age another year before the call gets answered. And, while I know that’s not true, I do enjoy the occasional moment of self-pity and melodrama.   I can’t decide whether it’s the time wasted that frustrates me the most or having to listen to some pretty awful … read more

How to Organise the Computer/Printer Cables in the Office …

I don’t know about you, but the mess and jumble of cords behind my computer in the office was driving me crazy! It looked awful and was extremely difficult to keep clean and free of dust, so it was time to find a solution. I visited Officeworks and found this fantastic Cable Box. It comes in black or white and cost me $19.95. I personally preferred the black because it matched my printer and white plastic products can sometimes yellow with age. It was so easy to set up … simply remove the lid, run all the cables through the groove on either end, replace the lid … read more
