About 4 months ago, I shared a photo on Instagram of a beautiful platter of fruit I had prepared and taken to a barbecue when I had been asked to bring a plate. Hazelnut and Orange Bliss Balls …

You will have guessed by now that I love creating Bliss Balls … little balls of yummy that are perfect for a quick snack. These ones are particularly decadent and will have definite appeal for the adults (although my kids love them too). I’ve moved away from the almond meal with this recipe and substituted it with hazelnut meal. Okay, so a muffin isn’t necessarily going to be the healthiest snack out there but this recipe is definitely an improvement on one of my old favourites. I’ve added apple puree, which reduces the quantity of butter used and I also used low fat or skim milk, which I do in most of my recipes.
