Slow Cooked Asian Style Pulled Pork …

I love my slow cooker because it makes my life so much easier. Toss together a few ingredients, add some meat and dinner literally takes care of itself … and what’s not to love about that! You can use pork shoulder for this recipe (or any of your favourite cuts of pork) but usually use Pork Fillet. It is typically a more expensive cut of pork but I’ve recently started buying it from Aldi. At $19.99/kg it’s much cheaper than the butcher or supermarket and the quality is just as good! Chocolate Weetbix Slice …

I have a real sweet tooth and every now and then I crave chocolate! Do you know the feeling? I’ll take it any way it comes but I do have a soft spot for this particular Slice … I think because it satisfies my love of chocolate but I also think I’m drawn to the coconut flavour as well. I love the simplicity of this recipe because there’s no mucking around with yeast and dough and they’re quick to make, saving Mums and Dads that one thing we never seem to have enough of … time. I also … read more

Why I Chose Large Tiles for my Bathroom Renovation …

Last year, we renovated our bathrooms. It was a huge job because we completely gutted each space and started from scratch. The ensuite was reasonably straight-forward but the original main bathroom was quite small so we knocked down the external wall and had it rebuilt, pushing it out to the edge of the eaves to make the room larger. We agonized over whether it was worth the money but, once the job was finished, it proved to be worth every cent as, what was once a small bathroom, was now a good size that fitted with the rest of the … read more

Chocolate Fudge Mud Cake …

I’ve tried for a while to find the perfect Chocolate Mud Cake recipe but couldn’t find one I was happy with. I’d get excited with each new attempt but was never overly thrilled with the result. Not only that, but I’ve had some epic fails in the process. So, what’s a girl to do when she can’t find the perfect recipe … create her own! I’ve played with this recipe for the last month or so, tweeking it with each attempt and am pleased to report success! Delicious, decadent, delectable and delightful are just some of the adjectives that hubby’s used and he even … read more
