Easy Peasy Two Ingredient Pizza Dough …

Easy Peasy 2 Ingredient Pizza Dough 001

This is quite possibly the easiest recipe you’ll ever make … only two ingredients … that’s right … 2 ingredients!

Although I’ve been making this Pizza Dough for a long time, it’s not a new recipe and has been floating around the internet forever. I love making this recipe because it turns out every time and also because it doesn’t involve yeast … yeast and I have a difficult relationship, but that’s another story for another time!

This dough is so quick because there’s no need to set it aside to rise as you do when yeast is used … just combine the self-raising flour and the Greek yoghurt, knead for approximately 5 minutes and its good to go! The result will be a Pizza base that’s soft and chewy on the inside once cooked and beautifully crisp on the outside.

It’s perfect for a quick snack or for those nights when you need dinner in a hurry. Pizza is also a great dish because you can put virtually anything on it. We often have a Pizza Night, make the dough, lay out all the ingredients and then everyone simply makes their own. I kept this Pizza fairly simple … tomato paste, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil … mmm yum!

So tell me, what are your favourite toppings? Do you order the same pizza all the time or do you like to mix it up a little with different flavour combinations?

Ingredients …
  • 1 ¼ cups self-raising flour (plus additional ¼ cup)
  • 1 cup Greek Yoghurt (I use Jalna)
Method …
  1. Add self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt to a mixing bowl and combine with a large spoon to create a ball of dough.
  2. Turn dough onto a floured surface using the additional ¼ cup (or more if needed) of self-raising flour and knead for approximately 5 minutes until elastic.
  3. Place dough onto a lightly-greased round pizza tray and gently press down working the dough to the edges of the tray until it’s fully covered. The dough should be reasonably thin. You can also use a rolling pin but why dirty another item if you don’t need to. Rub some flour onto your fingers and hands to prevent the dough from sticking.
  4. Cover base with tomato paste or similar, add desired toppings and sprinkle lightly with cheese.
  5. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until dough is browned and crispy and cheese has melted. Remove pizza tray from oven and allow pizza to cool for approximately 5 minutes. Remove pizza from tray, slice and serve.

  1. Two ingredients! I am impressed. I’ve never made pizza dough with yoghurt but am so impressed this can be made so easily and quickly xx

    • This really is easy, Charlie and I love that the Greek yoghurt also makes it a bit healthier … I’ve always had limited success with yeast so this recipe is a great alternative x
