I’m addicted to Nutella! There I’ve said it … I love that stuff so much I can eat it straight from the jar! In fact, it may be necessary to stage an intervention soon before I eat my body weight in Nutella. It appears, however, I’m not the only one and I recently discovered that there is actually a World Nutella Day which will be celebrated next year on Friday, 5th February, 2016. Amazing!! So for those of you who also love Nutella, here’s a simple recipe you’re sure to enjoy!
- ½ cup butter, room temperature
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 180C and line biscuit trays with baking paper.
- In a large bowl cream butter and brown sugar together with a wooden spoon for approximately 2 minutes.
- Add the Nutella and mix until well combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
- Add plain flour, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips and mix until combined.
- Roll 1 tablespoon of mixture into a roughly-shaped ball, place on prepared biscuit trays and flatten with your fingers. Repeat, placing cookies approximately 5cm apart.
- Bake for approximately 8 – 9 minutes. Once cooked, remove from oven and allow to rest on the tray for approximately 5 minutes before moving cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

I love Nutella too and did you know that that’s what they put in the ferrero rocher chocolates! Your cookies are gorgeous and look like a great afternoon snack xx
I too am a Nutella lover. I’ve tempered it a bit in an effort not to have to buy bigger clothes, but these are definitely going in the oven soon!
