This is the perfect dish if you don’t want to spend ages preparing dinner or you’re having friends over for a barbecue. Don’t be put off by the chilli as it’s really quite mild and adds to the flavour of the cutlets. This is one of my family’s favourites … I hope you enjoy it too!
Lemon Chilli Lamb Cutlets …

Ingredients …
- 12 (or more) lamb cutlets
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons lemon rind
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon ground chillli
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Method …
- Combine lemon juice, lemon rind, olive oil, chilli and salt and mix to combine.
- Add lamb cutlets to a casserole dish, pour lemon mixture over the cutlets, cover and refrigerate for approximately 2 hours.
- Cook cutlets over a medium heat on either a barbecue or in a frypan until cooked as desired (remember lamb is usually served a little pink on the inside).
- Remove from heat and serve with your favourite salad or side dishes.

I do love lamb cutlets but it’s a pity they’re now so expensive. I agree they are so quick and easy to prepare. I love the sound of the lemon and chilli marinade xx
You’re so right, Charlie … they can be quite expensive so I normally save this dish for when I can buy them on special. I love lamb … it’s my absolute favourite! x
