I love little recipes like this that look fantastic but require minimum effort … because we’re all so busy and no-one wants to spend hours in the kitchen!
So, hop to it and whip up a batch for your Easter celebrations next weekend. Just a word of caution, this recipe does contain nuts so do be mindful of anyone who may have an allergy. Enjoy!
- ½ cup Peanut Butter, smooth or crunchy
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 2 packets of Changs Original Fried Noodles
- 1 packet Candied or Chocolate Eggs (I used M & M Speckled Eggs)
- Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
- Allow Peanut Butter to soften if it’s been in the fridge and add it to a small saucepan with the chocolate chips.
- Melt gently over a very low heat, stirring constantly to combine the two ingredients as they melt.
- Once fully melted, remove saucepan from heat and add Noodles. Mix to coat the noodles in the chocolate mixture but stir gently so the noodles don’t break up too much.
- Once mixed drop large dessertspoons of mixture onto prepared trays. Use two spoons to shaped the nests into a round shape. Once shaped press down in the middle to create the hollow that will hold the eggs.
- Refrigerate on trays for at least an hour or until set firm. This recipe will make approx. 11 – 12 nests.
Clever Tricks, Tips and Hints …
- These nests can be made up to 3 days ahead. Once set, store chocolate nests in a sealed, air-tight container in the fridge and add the Easter eggs on the day they are served.
