If you’re looking for some party food ideas for your child’s next birthday or special celebration, these Chocolate Sparkle Balls are perfect and so easy to make! For a serving suggestion, I found these cute little Mini Patty Pan Wrappers at Coles. I love that these balls can be made the day before meaning you have less to do on the day! I rolled some of the balls in 100’s & 1000’s and some in Choclettes but desiccated coconut works well too.
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup cocoa powder, sifted (I used raw cacao)
- 1 tablespoon raspberry jam
- 1 pkt (250g) Marie biscuits, crushed
- 100’s & 1000’s for decoration
- In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and the cocoa (or raw cacao) powder.
- Stir in the raspberry jam.
- Add biscuit crumbs and stir until well combined.
- Place 100’s & 1000’s in a dish and then roll mixture into a ball using approximately 1 tablespoon of mixture. It may help to wet your hands slightly and squeeze the mixture together firmly before rolling.
- Once all balls have been rolled, roll in 100’s & 1000’s to coat. Refrigerate to allow mixture to firm. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until required. Recipe will make 20 – 24 balls depending on how big/small you roll them.
So tell me, what’s you’re favourite party food for kids?
I bought a packet of sprinkles the other day. They always make me happy ?
Funny how a little packet of sprinkles can make us so happy … I do have trouble keeping them in the kitchen though because one of my girls loves to make fairy bread!
Oh my gosh. They just sound so good. Anything with condensed milk in it is good though, right?! I will keep this recipe up my sleeve for the next party. Thank you. Visiting via #teamIBOT
These are yummy, Renee and perfect for parties. I fall in love with anything that has condensed milk straight away!
I could go a chocolate sparkle ball right now
They’re pretty tempting, aren’t they, Jess!
